July 23 (UPI) --Google's online translation tools are setting Internet conspiracy theorists ablaze after a glitch was discovered that turns gibberish into Biblical prophecies.
The Google Translate glitch, which was popularized by posts on Reddit, can be accessed by typing the English word 'dog' 18 times and telling the tool to translate the text from Maori.
Yeah, get the same thing too on my computer and my phone. Also I'm viewing this post on the reddit app and literally every link leads to the same empty default google translate page. If some could make a video of what it should sound like i would really appreciate it.
'Doomsday Clock is three minutes at twelve We are experiencing characters and a dramatic developments in the world, which indicate that we are increasingly approaching the end times and Jesus' return,' the translated text reads.
Redditors, some of whom have concocted doomsday conspiracy theories based on the glitch, discovered other ways to trick the translator, including putting in the text 'do nal d tru mp do nal d tru mp do nal d tru mp' and translating from Somali, causing the English translation to read: 'Do not do this anymore.'
Another disturbing glitch involves typing the word 'goo' 13 times and translating from Somali, creating the translation: 'Cut off the penis into pieces, cut it into pieces.'
Google officials explained the translation tool learns by reading text from elsewhere on the Internet.
'Google Translate learns from examples of translations on the web and does not use 'private messages' to carry out translations, nor would the system even have access to that content,' a Google representative told The Independent. 'This is simply a function of inputting nonsense into the system, to which nonsense is generated.'

Add Grammatical Gender!
This is a great app and it works fantastically for many languages. The one thing I really want to see added is grammatical gender for languages such as French, Spanish, and Italian. I often find myself using google translate but then having to use a second app also to find the gender of the word in question. When you translate a single word or a sentence, it should say in small letters above the word “m” or “f” for masculine or feminine. Otherwise great app, but this change would be much appreciated!
How google has fallen
If this was just a few months ago, I would be giving a five star no problem.
However, I have noticed quite obviously that google has but 'fused' some languages together. Languages such as traditional and simplified Chinese. I used to be able to switch between the two. Not anymore.
The only reason I even installed Google Translate was so I could interpret not only from simplified to traditional and vice-versa, but also because my family uses traditional. In fact, other countries also use traditional Chinese.
Google didn't just disappoint a fellow user giving a review, but disappointed many a countries.
I hope you realize this Google.
Thank you for your time. (If you even read this)
